Hypnotherapy for fears & Phobias in Reading & Berkshire
What is a "fear" or "phobia"?
A "fear" is (noun) "An unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain, or harm" or (verb) "Be afraid of (someone or something) as likely to be dangerous, painful, or harmful."
A "phobia" is (noun) "An extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something."
No one is born with a fear, they are learnt from either a bad experience, for example, being bitten by a snake may give someone a future aversion to snakes and become flooded with anxiety when confronted by one. On the other hand, as a child you may have seen a parent react badly to seeing a spider and so your brain decides this must be a bad thing and creates an anxious response whenever you see a spider.
Don't let your life be ruled by fear, discover how you can be relaxed and have control over yourself in situations that you find distressing.
